Hey guys, since my peanut got lost, I've been searching for a replacement because you know how peanuts are and sometimes they come back even when the hope is lost.

Today I received this

before seeing the text I thought it was the bladeforums knife but...

Our friend Pertinux has a lot to do with It for starting the GEC #25 thread where I got hooked with the beauty of the little buggers.

I decided to go single blade because I think that jack configuration join with stag could be too thick, besides I like the EZ open feature

The stag is very nice, fit and finnish as always with GEC almost perfect. Great walk and talk too with an authoritary snap.

It needs a good sharpening to thin the edge a little bit and ready to go.
We'll see if the peanut comes back or not, but until then I think I'm gonna enjoy this one quite a bit

That looks like a nice stout replacement. I don't know anything about the GEC models but if it carries (nearly) as well as your old peanut did, it looks like a winner. Especially if you can get the edge thinned down to where it cuts like the thinner bladed peanut probably did.

Nice knife Mateo. I have a 2 bladed Jack 25 on the way. I almost went with an ez open single blade. I still may have to order it. This photo isn't helping me any. LOL
Enjoy the new knife!

Nice knife, Mateo. A real beauty; I like the stag. Just beautiful. I´m sure, it´ll make a nice replacement for your Peanut.

That's a real beauty you got there! For me my little 25EO IS my peanut:)
Small enough to ride in watch pocket un noticed, large enough to get a good grip on, and they are stout little buggers...

Very nice Mateo. I have been tempted by the EO Bulldog knives GEC made on the 25 frame, but I can never get anyone to tell me how thick they are. I think your choice of single blade with the stag was one I would follow for the same reason you mention.

Beautiful pictures of a very attractive knife.

Congrats Mateo, Pertinux's thread has got me wanting one as I also my peanut has also gone missing.

Nice selection on the stag too, really stunning. What is the pull like with ez-open?

I've had my eye on those little stag GECs. I'll pull the trigger one day soon I'm sure.

Nice one!

That is very nice! I have a huge appreciation for easy open knives, and this one really makes sense.

Beautiful knife Mateo and congrats! I love the orange tones that come through on your stag, much nicer than mine. I had to sharpen mine too, as well as give it a little "nose job" to taper the tip into a more of a drop point shape, but it is now one of my favorites. Rides perfectly in the watch pocket!

Thanks for the comments everyone
I retrieved the good camera out of a box (we're moving) so I wanted to make some good pictures not only the crappy phone quality ones.

Congrats Mateo, Pertinux's thread has got me wanting one as I also my peanut has also gone missing.

Nice selection on the stag too, really stunning. What is the pull like with ez-open?

The pull is around a five, very pleasent but for now until the blade gets some patina, the mirror polish is too slippery, it squeezes out of my fingers when I try to pinch it open. So, for now I use the long pull.

It carries pretty well in the watch pocket and is already shaving sharp after the rebeveling.

Nice GEC, congrats!
I think I like the EO just a little better than the other types, though the Barlow is pretty sweet too. My blue EO 25 and Bulldog sheepsfoot ride in my watch pocket like a Peanut

This made me get my Tidioute EO with Sheepfoot out. The EO is a very useful feature on these small but burly knives, the stag on yours will just get better and better, well chosen.

Beautiful knife Mateo, and great pictures of it. Hope your Peanut turns up too :)

GEC sure knows how to make a fine pocket knife. I'm a bit biased though as you can put an eo notch on any knife and I instantly like it.:D

Rebeveling to mirror polish complete, now that little thing is as sharp as I like:

for sharpening nutts: DMT coarse and fine(blue and red), Zwilling J.A. Henckels waterstones 1k 3k 8k and strop.

when It gets dull I'll maybe thin out a little the primary grind, but for now It's great.
