How often do they change the Ritter grip's blade material? Does anybody know if they plan on changing it anytime soon? Getting ready to order another mini and just thought I'd ask first.

They have only used three different blade steels... M4, S30V and M390. They haven't been using M390 that long, so I doubt there will be another change soon.
You never know though, BM is using more CPM-20CV
I doubt there will be any advance notice if they do decide to change though. M390 is good steel. Buy one now, and if they do change steel in the future, it's
a good reason to buy another new one

I had one in M390 with some custom scales on it and my brother in law had to have it. So then I bought a new G10 555-1 and put some scales on that too. Nice knife but I think that the Ritter stonewashed blade will look better with the Black Canvas Micarta scales so I'm going to order a Ritter and swap the scales and get a new set of custom scales for this one and call it good. Just need to decide on the scales for the 555-1.

I'd LOVE to see something like 1095 offered on the Ritter Grip. Don't get me wrong, the M390 mini I have is my favorite pocket knife, but it would be awesome to have something that is easier to field sharpen. 1095 would also get that aged patina liek an old school pocket knife. Just a thought

Thanks Nathan... When I posted that, I had the strangest feeling I was forgetting one, but couldn't remember what it was.I intended to research it after posting so I could give a complete list, and I totally spaced it lol...
