I read a thread in community about the new Ritter neck knife from CRKT. The RKS MK5. I have the MK1 and MK2 (Ritter Grip and mini Ritter Grip), had the MK3, the fixed blade Ritter Grip. The FB Ritter wasn't a bad knife, I would like to see one modded. The one from Lone Wolf, the MK4, isn't a bad design, the Poehl lock isn't for me. I was excited when I read the thread, but kinda bummed about the small knife. I like the PSK thought of it, don't know if I'll get one.

I kinda like that one. With a cord wrap and a lanyard to give a little more secure grip, I think it would do nicely as a tin sized knife.

The price seems fair and if it's going to be sold at CRKT distributors, you could probably find one at some of the on-line dealers for a lower price.

I'll keep an eye on this one just because it looks like a fun, inexpensive little blade. Thanks for the link.

Like all of his designs, looks great. And for that price it looks like a must have.

Just a correction. The Mini is NOT the Mk2. The RSK Mk2 is a collaboration with Ethan Becker. It was just getting ready to enter production when Camillus went under. Hopefully, now that BK&T is back in production with KA-BAR, the Mk2 will get another chance at production before too long. Thanks.

another cool looking design... i like it... great price too.. i might have to pick one up...

That is great news, that design was looking to be the perfect woods knife.

Doug, I am very interested in seeing the Becker collaboration. I would really like to see a Benchmade necker in size relation to the small Grip or reg Grip. I have thought about it, this tin is growing on me. :)

RC 52-54 is pretty soft, no? I guess I see the point of it being able to be sharpened easily and not chipping on you, but to tell the truth, it might bother me enough to pass on this knife.

How do they call it in USA, "Fun sized"? :)
Well, this one is definietly fun sized. And comes with own tin for some sweets.

And seriusly speaking -you can't go wrong with Ritter and price so low. And a tin...

Looks great. I'm not too crazy about the steel but it'll probably do. Once it comes out and someone reviews it I'll most likely get at least one. I'm just worried about the sheath since in my experience, the main problem for me with production fixed blades is a poor sheath.

Thats probably about where my CRKT Dogfish is in hardness. It is a bit on the soft side but sharpens as easy as the steel used in SAK's.

I don't really do tiny knives, but that's a good price for sure.

But honestly I'd rather just get one of John's (JK) knives and that free tin knife he's offering with one.

Not a big fan.

Despite its small size - it might actually be too small - IMHO.
Plus, 3Cr13 steel hardened to 52-55 HRC?

Wide range on that Rc scale and not the best steel...

I think I'd rather have a Buck Hartsook knife in S30V instead.

Just my two cents.

I have a Hartsook and I love it. The thing is, in terms of grip and heavy use, its ergonomics aren't that great. If I was going to do some wood work with a small knife, I think the Ritter would beat the Hartsook.

Im with Will.

However, for the coin, I might get one of these to play with too.
