RMK introduced a new handle material for 2010, specifically Ivorite. I received my first Randall of 2010 in yesterday's mail, and it is "Bowles Skinner" (Rick Bowles' dealer special) #178 that uses this new handle material in Single Finger Grip shape.

I took a few quick snapshots (true this time, because they are handheld, using my Canon PowerShot S90 IS compact digital camera):

Unlike White Micarta, Ivorite has almost no grain. It is incredibly smooth, and claimed to be very durable.

Ken, a most impressive knife, especially the very dramatic blade grind.
it seems to have quite a commanding presence that says "Use Me, i'm amazing, let me work !"

One feature of the Bowles Skinner that I was not clear about, and which is evident in the third photo, is that the top edge is not sharpened. I like this. As with the top edge of a #5, the top edge of the blade narrows from the 1/4" thickness down to about 1/16" toward the tip.

Here are more photos of Bowles Skinner #178 using the blue background, better lighting, and my Nikon D300 with Nikkor 60mm Micro lens:
