I guess the 6" closed length of my "Rocky Grande" was a bit much to pack, ha-ha, because two of my customers requested that I make one "in between" the Grande and the original Rocky Mosier sized one.

This one was special order. The small one is the original size.

Blade is S30V- 3 3/8", scales are Dymondwood, Bolsters are anodized 60-61 aluminum. The liners, pivot, rocker, and lock pin are hardened 440C SS. The clip is a one off of 6AL4V titanium.

I hope you like it. Thanks for looking. :D

Simple in looks but complicated in execution. This is one of the hardest to get right that I make. You'd have to see one up close and personal to appreciate the complicated mechanism.

Thanks for the comments and thanks for looking.

Only a crazy man would mirror polish S30V!!!

Nice knife Steve! There are lots of things going on in that piece that you may not appreciate if you're not a knifemaker. Keeping that plunge line straight and in line with the bottom of the ricasso area is maybe one of the toughest grinds I've ever seen. It also looks like you keyholed the wood to bolster fit around the auto button. Is that true? Are you sick or something? :)

Yes Jerry it's "keyholed" that's the Rocky Mosier did it on his S&W Police Issue knife. That;s what the customer wanted. And the customer is always right!

Yes Tom it's shiney, I don't have a sandblaster. :D

I'm not crazy. (not crazy not crazy not crazy not crazy)
