Just some pics to show my new Rough Rider lockback folder with damascus blade & bolsters and brown jigged bone handle.
The knife is very nicely made with good walk & talk, no bladeplay in any direction and an overall feel of a knife worth 10 times the price.

The blade & bolsters are made from real San Mai Damascus steel which is harder and more wear resistant than their standard 440A steel.
(Polished the edge to hairwhittling on my Paper Wheels after the photo's were taken, so that's how i know,)

Sales pitch:

"San-Mai" is Japanese for sandwich.
The process starts with a core of carbon steel; sixteen layers of spring steel are folded around the core, creating a "sandwich" of thirty three layers for strength and rigidity.
The steel is then hand finished, giving it the unique appearance.

* Japanese San-Mai Damascus steel blade & bolster
* Brown jigged bone handle
* Steel pins and liners
* 4 inch closed

One of these would cost me 25 US dollars plus shipping to the Netherlands, but i bought 4 of them.

great looking knife. I didn't know they made those. I've been very impressed with my Rough Riders, and they just seem to be getting better.

Thanks for posting this. I've got a couple Rough Rider slipjoints but haven't looked at the brand in a while. I really like the look of this knife, ordered one for myself.

For the money, the RR brand is actually pretty nice ! The fit & finish is alot better than you would find on any other $10~$15 slippie ;) Marbles makes a nice "cheap" slippie :thumbup:
