Yesterday I picked up a new ruger knife made by paragon . It had a plunge lock just like a auto opener but it was not an auto. The handle was all synthentic of the same material that ruger uses for their stocks. The list price was 79.95. Anyone know anything about these knives and who has them for sale on the internet at good prices? To open it you just pust the button and snap it open. Seems to work pretty well. It doesn`t have a hole in the blade or a thumb stud. Very interesting knife, especially from ruger.

I'm also very interested in these knives. My father is a Ruger nut and I thought I might pick one of these up for him.

I saw an automatic version of their "All Weather Knife" on bladeauctions a couple of weeks ago. It got bid up to about $90 before I stopped looking at it. What'd you pay for yours?

I just read in a knife mag (don't remember which one) that they are all 'manuals', kinda like the Boker Top Locks. Do any of you know if Ruger is producing an automatic version? Or is the one I saw a conversion?

How do you like the polymer handle material?

If it's not an auto, they should put some kind of provision for one-hand opening (stud, disk, etc.)

The top pic is distorted - makes it look kinda stubby.

It is uuggly, but as with all Ruger products, probably designed as a user and will work well for the purpose.

Sounds a little pricey for 440.
