New run of the ATR different than original?

I purchased one of the original run ATR and find it to be an fabulous knife. I know that the second run has been delayed due to glitches. Sal, is the second run going to have any dramatic changes and improvements over the original production run?

I am worried that I will be disappointed that I bought one of the first ones.

Since we're talking about the ATR, and my question seems to have been buried in the catalog/thankyou thread, I'll add it again, here:

I don't have it with me at the moment, so I may not have the wording exactly correct, but I have a question about the catalog:

In the description of the ATR, it says something like "lock rated for heavy duty." This means "heavy duty" in the generic sense, right? Not the heavy or hard use rating one notch down from MBC in Spyderco's lock rating system?

Thanks!

I was hoping a lock-strength downgrade wasn't one of the changes for '04.;)

Sal: Any info on this point? Just curious as to how the 2004 ATR was improved over the 2003 version. Thanks.

Just minor enginnering refinements. lock strength is up. Eccengtric is gone, etc. Nothing major in the appearance or feel of the model.

I've had my eye on this knife for a quite a while now as well and hopefully within the next couple of weeks I will have enough to buy it :D.

Was a little worried when I 1st read this thread though, especially cause it appeared to be pass by in all the Chinook II hooray :p.

But now I don't need to worry.

Thanks Sal.
