I pulled the trigger on my first Spyderco yesterday: a Sage 1! I'm looking forward to using it as my first EDC knife. Well, it will replace my Gerber EVO which I bought on impulse at REI before I knew any better.

I looked at a bunch of knives before settling on the Sage. In the end, it had the right balance of size, construction, and features for my anticipated day to day use.

Congrats on your purchase! I think the design, engineering, and quality of this knife will blow your mind. :)

The sage is a great choice. It was my first Spyderco knife, and in my view, my first quality knife. It did start a downward slope in that I've now purchased a rather large number of knives, mostly Spyderco, but a few others. Enjoy!

I agree! You have selected a fine knife! The fit and finish are superb! The details right down to the hourglass spacers...excellent! Nothing was overlooked on this knife! You will be very impressed with it I'm sure! Keep us posted.....pics are always a plus!

Yep, you have chosen one hot knife!

Agreed, the Sage is a fantastic choice for daily carry. My Sage 1 came absolutely flawless (as far as I could tell), and is just big enough to be useful for my tasks, without being too scary to use around the NKP masses. Carry it well. :)

WOW! Nice pics there!
Like how you captured the detail of the CF!
Ahhhhhh that lovely wire clip.........best clip around IMHO!!!!
