I got my new Wenger SI in the mail today. I already had a Vic Soldier and I wanted to compare the two.
The only differences I can see (other than the bail) are: 1. The heads of the pins are a little flatter than the Vic. 2. The grind on the blade is a little different, it's a little thicker at the edge and tip. That's it though, I was expecting the awl to be pointier but it's the same. I'm guessing it's from this year because there's no date on the tang.
One thing I thought was strange though was the box. I've always heard of the Wenger being called "SI" but it says "Wenger Soldier" on the box. Is this because I got it in England? Does it say "SI" in the States?
