I’m new to this forum, and I want to blame each and every one of you for my new addiction. I haven’t had a SAK in a long time, I would give them to my kids, each son has a climber, the youngest also took my classic from my key ring a few years ago and I’ve been without. Well no longer, and because I can’t make up my mind on just one I now have a few coming in: a rambler with canary yellow scales for my key chain, a stayglow compact, a cadet, pioneer and farmer (all three in the silver alox- decided against colors as my old folders showed lots of wear as they ride with my keys). That should hold me for a bit. I even bought my girlfriend a classic in a pretty pattern for her key chain. Nothing exceeds like excess. I bought my youngest son got a climber for his birthday in Feb, it has red nylon scales, and I kept admiring it, palming it, and since I lost my other folder I hopped in with both feet.

Congrats on that haul, Bill, and welcome back.

Like your son, I recently acquired a red nylon Climber, and it has become one of my favorites.

Wow, you don't do anything halfway, do you? :) Congrats on the new knives! I've just rediscovered the dependability, functionality and aesthetics of SAK's as well.

Well the knives came Friday and I'm not alone in loving them. My girlfriend loves her classic and has been using it, now she wants something with a little bigger blade and is eyeing the cadet. I've been carrying the pioneer and farmer and like them both. Obviously the pioneer is lighter. The cadet disappears in my pockets and will be good for my dress pants I wear for work. My son wants the pioneer so I may have to get another one as I want it too, and if my girlfriend takes my cadet I will need a replacement.

I'm amazed at how often I'm using these, so is she. Thanks for all I learned here, can't wait to learn more and maybe contribute too.

The Rambler is a great little SAK, small & light but also really useful. Mine is a translucent red one - I really like it.
The Farmer is a great camping SAK with a sturdy blade and a useful saw as well as one of the best awls available.

"Nothing exceeds like excess"
- I like that so much I'm gonna steal it!

Yeah, that's a slogan I've used for years, its accurate. Another one is "do it now, regret it later. "
