I was just on the SAK website (swissarmy.com) and they have some awesome looking new knives. One of the new things is a digi-camo huntsman

That sounds really interesting but I think I'll stick with red in the woods to be able to find my knife if I drop it! but then I'm not military either.

Oh man... now victorinox fell for that gimmicky ACU crap? That stuff is ugly as sin... I thought they had more class than that.

I kinda like the ACU "crap." (although I haven't seen Vic's version of it.) I do prefer my SAKs to be red, though.

digi-camo, huh.
wonder how well that works?
just try locating one that's been dropped in the field...

believe me, i'ld be the first in line for a highly polished mirror chromed scaled sak if they ever had one.
bling bling sak, here i come!

I'll have to confess that I don't understand the idea of a camo'ed knife.

How did all thse guys in WW2, Korea, and Vietnam ever make it through the combat with a non camo'ed knife?

Makers of all kinds of things have become too carried away with the milspec look to stimulate sales among the armchair comando's. LIke others, I'll stick to a knife I can find if I lay it down or drop it. My red or alox sak's and my yellow Case sodbuster stick out real well.

I've become a big fan of yellow handled knives also, in the traditional patterns. As for SAK's I like the red and alox versions. The olive drab would be as military as I would go.

Yup, your enemy's gonna spot you if you have a red or yellow handled knife!

I can't find my glasses on the kitchen counter, what am I going to do with a camo knife dropped in the leaves  :)

... now pink camo would be a thing altogether different :D

The lobster design (and the earlier lobster design with the black background) are popular in gift shops on the East coast.

The knives themselves aren't new of course, just the graphics. The new softgrip series looks interesting.

I kinda like a couple of the summer ones. They'd go well slicing a lime to go with the cold Corona while some Jimmy Buffet is play in the background.

Carl.
