As for the change, Sal said it would be a rolling one. As the existing stock of any model is used up, the screw version will replace it. IIRC, someone posted about buying one of the Salts recently and receiving one with screws. Don't remember which model it was, think it may have been a Pacific. But I expect there will still be pinned knives in circulation for quite a while. My guess, and please understand that it is only a guess, is that any Salt with a date code of IJ (9/10) or later will probably be screw construction.

Hi,
I'm looking for an update to the original poster's question.
Does anybody know of any online vendor that now has the torx-constructed Salt 1 in stock? The rivets have been the only thing holding me back from purchasing one of these knives, I just don't like them.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks much!
