It's funny to me how different people's tastes are and what knife "speaks" to them.
I read threads with people saying how great such and such a knife is, it's the best for so and so.. etc. but it just doesn't quite grab me.

At present I have a NMFBM, NMSFNO, BATACLE, BAD, GW and just the other day this squatch with a FFBM in the mail... sweet!

My favorite to date has been the FFBM and I regret ever selling mine until I found a replacement and it will be here this week, I hope.

I recently fell in love with my BAD after convexing the blade and making a new sheath for it. It's a sweet EDC knife..

Don't get me wrong, I like the others too but they have never quite grabbed me as much as I would have thought. Sure I get a rush of raw power picking up the fearsome NMFBM. The NMSFNO seems like a fantastic all around knife in the large category.
I've owned 3 BATACS and I like them but they aren't my first choice which is why I'm on my 3rd one. I keep trying to like it more than I do.

Well I just found one that really "speaks" to me. I admit I didn't expect it. I thought, well I'll try it out, take a look, see if anyone wants a sheath made for it and let it go... well I think this will be my main keeper to pair with my BAD.
There's just something about it. The convex edge, the balance, the wide blade, the weight. I like everything about it more than the picture. Sometimes the idea of a knife is better than the real thing, particularly with well photographed customs but this one is better in real life.

Yea I will have to agree with you there. I had no idea that I would like the Squatch as much as I do but I do. When I first saw it I wasnt really drawn to it. I didnt think it was the coolest looking knife either. But man was I wrong the Squatch is a great knife and one of the best feeling knives I have used.

The Sarsquatch Rocks!!!
 
Yep, the squatch has that FEEL --- just a great medium/large camp knife...

Yep..... I can see where some people might look at the SarSquatch and not like it from pictures. But, as a medium sized all-around camp knife, it rocks. And you "DO" have to hold it and use it to appreciate it.
 
I agree about the SarSquatch - it does need to be used to be fully appreciated. I think it may be my favorite grip on a Busse to date. Well, maybe it and the AD. And maybe a BATAC with Mags. I'll stop now.

I prefer the sabre SFNO in mags. THAT knife feels great to me. The squatch is pretty similar, though.

I don't know if I still have it or not....I "think" i sold it when I was raising money for my house down payment, but may be I do still have it. I'll have to look mid-week when i get back to the house.

lol, definitely not Jerry on my account. i keep the passwords long and complex which are beyond his "intoxicated luck limit" of guessing.

I am pretty sure I don't have it, but there are about six blades in BCC's in my closet that I haven't looked at in a good two years. If I have it, thats where it will be...
