I've had this foliage green G10 leaf-blade Urban for a few years - and I never seem to carry it. For some reason, I always reach for the orange G10 UKPK or its little brother the orange G10 wharncliffe instead. Since it was underutilized, I decided to make some new scales for it and turn it into a gentleman's folder. The wood is cocobolo, which was trimmed it to correct thickness with 100grit sandpaper, then shaped it using files. It was hand sanded and finished it out to 1200 grit. I put one thin coat of TruOil on top to seal the grain, then topped it off with RenWax.
The original knife weighed 56g, and the cocobolo version weighs in at a svelte 45g. Part of that difference is the clip - which I removed permanently.
