Hi, I'm looking for someone who can replace my Boker Kwaiken fixed blade knife with custom scales. I'm in the UK and knife mod companies here seem very few and far between. I've seen loads of great mods for the Kwaiken flipper model but nothing for the fixed blade. Any suggestions are welcome. I'd try it myself but I doubt I'd get the finish I want! Thanks

You will never know unless you try. Do some research, to learn what it takes. Practice on some cheep knives. (Something like Ontario's Old hickory line of kitchen knives.)Then go for it. You will probably impress yourself and all your friends too.

Yes you can try yourself. I suggest you to use hard wood like ebony or walnut.
You can find something searching for guitar making shop or woodshop specialized in musical instrument and you can ask to cut them at right thickness.
Then you just need some common instruments to finish it.
