These just arrived from Tommythewho and they are beautiful. They are made from Ipe wood (pronounced "ee-pay") which is a very hard wood from the rain forest in Central America. It has a natural resistance to moisture and is an extremely dense hard wood. These scales are very grippy which surprised me. I don't know if it is the tongue oil or just the natural feel of the wood. There is no stain or lacquer used. They were perfectly shaped with the red liners and came with the stainless screws. I also have the Ka Bar micarta scales but for about the same price, these give my BK2 a dressier look.

I've been eyeing those scales for a while now and I think you may have just talked me into pulling the trigger. Very nice indeed.

I just resived micarta scales from tomar's for my 2 and now you have me thinking. Nice looking wood!!!

Those look great! I've got a set with yellow liners on my BK2 myself. Trying to decide between another set or some micarta for my new BK5.

Those are plain Awesome! And they look Great against the original black blade too. I likes it
