New scales for nmfbm?

Is there a person I can send my nmfbm to for new scales?

Like a dark grey color?
Something to match my TGLB.

You may be able to rit dye the scales black if you don’t find someone to make customs. I’d probably just embrace the bumblebee though, killer blade.

I don't trust myself to remove the scales properly though.

I just wanted them to match, I lost my bumble bee TG and small busse bumble bee long time ago. Got a new TGLB in grey.

Yeah I like the bumble bee, but I like change too. Can't afford a new nmfbm haha, not even sure if they make them anymore.
 
I dyed the scales on my BGFSH and BG AMS without removing the scales. There was some light discoloration on SR101, but it buffed out easily with some high grit automotive sandpaper. Imagine INFI would be fine since it’s much more stain/corrosion resistant. Not sure if g10 takes dye as readily as micarta, but looking at old threads here it should still work.

Like Inkynate said you should not have to remove the scales.

Not 100% sure on g-10 but the Grivory ? scales on my demco to the RIT dye really well.

They do not make the NMFBM any longer long since discontinued.

The BG TG I dyed the handles on , the dye did nothing to the INFI.

since it is a user maybe give it a try ?

I doubt the black will go grey but grey and black would be really cool

I believe the synthetic dye would be best ?
 
I can understand wanting things to match and I prefer canvas to G10 on my choppers but no way I’d take that knife apart. I’d look for a trade or find another to buy.

I know they still had NMFBM blanks up to at least early 2014 and they were only available in satin finish. I ordered one with tan canvas.
