I received this Schatt & Morgan Stockman this week. The handles are Jigged Squash Bone. They have a touch of orange in them but I am pleased with the overall appearance of them. I am partial to yellow handles and these fill the bill nicely. The knife is 4 1/4" closed with a main Clip blade 3 7/16" long a Spey blade 2 1/4" long and a Sheep-foot blade 2 7/16" long. The main (clip) blade has two nail nicks -- one a long pull along the spine of the blade and another small nail nick forward along the clip of the blade. Further, the clip blade is swedged with the swedge beginning just forward of the long pull. All blades are stainless. The knife has two springs with the main Clip blade having it's own spring and the Spey blade and Sheep-foot blade sharing the other spring. The pull on all three blades is very even (5 to 6 on a scale of 1 to 10) and the snap for all three blades is positive. There are no gaps between the liners and the springs and the overall fit and finish of this knife is excellent. None of the blades on the knife are razor sharp but all three blades are very sharp -- certainly able to accomplish any reasonable task as it came from the box. One thing that pleases me very much is the fact that there are four handle pins AND the shield is pinned!!

Love it! I've come close to ordering one of those a couple of times. That bone is killer! Cool pattern too- with double pulls- as Gene said above, what's not to like?

Looks nice! I like the way the Nail Nick and Long pull are placed
on that Main blade! Bone has a nice color as well!
Congrats, Thanks for sharing!

Some of y'all may remember a few months back that I got a Schatt & Morgan Swayback (their description) with a single Wharncliffe blade. That knife had some problems and I sent it back for repair. Queen (they handle Schatt & Morgan) replaced it with a new knife and the replacement was only so-so. I've since sent that knife to the "Happy Hunting Grounds" for errant knives.

I wanted to give Schatt & Morgan a second chance so I got this knife. I'm glad I did!! It really is a terrific knife.

When I help a couple of local ranchers with their branding this year, I'm going to use this knife's Spey blade to castrate the young males thus turning them into steers. Should be a snap -- errrrrrrrrrr slice with this knife.

Very nice looking knife!

The meer thought of this makes me wince...

...young males prancing around in the prime of their life, alerted by a crisp snap of a Spey blade opening and then suddenly confronted be Modoc with a newly sharpened Schatt and Morgan....yow :p

When reading "navihawk's" thread "New Queen #9 CZ" again, I noticed where he said the shield on his knife was pinned. I double checked this knife and the shield on it is pinned too. Nice touch/bonus.

A fine gunstock with some lovely bone!

Thank you neeman. I thought it could be referred to as a Gunstock Stockman but wasn't certain. Thanks for reinforcing my thought and thanks for the compliment.

EDIT: I've done some more research and have found that this knife is a Reverse Gunstock Stockman.
