New "Schrade" construction techniques

I'm curious about the construction techniques used on the new slipjoint "Schrade" Old Timers and Uncle Henrys that Taylor is "producing." Is Taylor using the keyhole construction technique that Schrade used for knives like the 34OT or are they only producing knives that resemble the real Schrades in appearance? I wouldn't take one of the Taylor knives if it was offered to me for free just because of what the knife represents but I'm curious about what Taylor is up to. I also thought this might make for an interesting discussion. Thank you for any and all replies.

Welcome to our forum, Tubeguy!

I honestly cannot answer your question. Perhaps someone else here can.

I'm afraid that the only way we will know the answers to your questions is if we take up a collection and bribe someone to buy them. Most of us here would not do so on principle. I have not seen a serious review of them in a knife magazine, and Stewart and Morgan have not been very talkative about them either. Sorry.
