Years ago, when I was a new member here (and before I found out about Robert Clemente's book) I started making a list of Schrade knives. I posted an early list in the Schrade FAQs sticky in 2005 & several updates to that list.

Bryan at AAPK offered me a place to post my lists in the Research Section at AAPK. It worked much better than posting it in a thread.

This morning I sent him an update of that list. It has taken me nearly 3 years to collect the info & put it together. I don't know how soon he will get it posted, I hope within a day or two.

I know you will all want to check it out. I have included some new catalogs Larry sent me last week. This new list has about 220 knives in it. It is by no means exhaustive, but I think it has most of the regular production knives from about 1948 to 2004.

It is in the Research Section, under Schrade: http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/research/index.php

Keep an eye out for it and then let me know how many I missed! :D:D:D:eek:

OK Guys....................Bryan got the new Open Stock list up & running.
It goes clear back to the late 1940s and up to 2004.

I even included some with the old numbers & new numbers after the numbering change circa 1947.

I hope you find it helpful.

Dale, that's an awesome job!!! What an incredible amount of work it must have taken to catalog all those knives. I never realized just how many existed, and I don't mean just the open stock either. That list of "newer knives" is mighty long as well. Great work!:thumbup::thumbup:

Eric

PS- Helpful is a major understatement:D

Thanks Eric.
The whole project started because I wanted a list to keep track of what I had compared to what had been made.
Well, I don't have all of them on any of the lists, but now I know what I am missing. :D

Fantastic job...........

another addition to the already vast array of tools in the box. Dale thank you tremendously for the hard work and long hours you have committed to gather and consolidate these lists for us.

I truly appreciate everything you do for us! :)

If there is ever anything I can do to thank you for this support, please don't hesitate to call on me.
