i have always been a fan of the old US schrade. do you own any of these new knives? what do you think of the construction and materials used. if you like or dislike or have any experiences with them go for it.

well, for one thing, some of, if not most of them do have "china" either on the blade or on the box. ive bought 2 of them, one, the PH- pro hunter, i love it, and the other, was the UH153, the uncle henry hunting knife, (which i did a giveaway with a week or so back). they are easily worth the money , but they are not the older ones we grew up loving. this is not a review, just my observation.

formerly "dullblades"

generally, they are ok knives for their pricepoint, they seem to be good knives.

my wife got the phw for my birthday last year and it is one of the purrrtiest knives i have seen. this year she got me a schrade sch1850 horse head bowie(haven't received it yet). other than that i got a 34 ot to see what it was like and it had daylight shining all through it. so i took a hammer to it and tightened it up nice then i gave it to a friend at work he loves it except that the shield fell off.

They are worth the money, but not like the old ones. I almost think the makers of Rough Riders maybe the manufactures of them in China.
