It has "Mudder" Res-C handles, comes in 3 handle color options and 5 blade colors. Scrap Yard began taking orders tonight. Perhaps most of the people who hang out at the Busse Combat forum and are interested already know all about the S5. However, there may be some who hadn't heard about it yet; this post is for them.

Can't wait to get it. A perfect size for an SR101 blade, and res-c to boot!

My guess is no. AFAIK, the Swamp only puts differential treatment on the larger blades, i.e. Chopweiler +.

I would like to get some scrapyard knives. I really like the look, and would like to try the resiprine C handle material.

The LE release still isn't scheduled yet; here's an excerpt from Dan's post about why the LE might be released in INFI:
I have been trying to work with the production team at Busse to see if we could make this happen. So far, not so promising. Jerry is currently in the middle of a very large run and I am trying to convince him to use bar stock that is 6 inches longer than what they are currently using. If they do this, then the remaining length needed for the Scrapper 5 can be gleaned from the webs that they are discarding. He is getting 4 knives out of every web at this time. Using my idea, each 6 inch longer web would produce a single Scrapper 5 LE that would be priced within most everyone's range. (Under $200.00)

Until the steel type is finalized, and sufficient steel scraps are stockpiled if it's INFI, a production schedule can't be created.

That thing has a choil the size of Texas!!
It looks like a Scrap Yard version of the old Swamp Rat Bog Dog design to me.

Dan said the steel choice for the LE should be finalized in June, I am looking for a July release.

it's probably not that far off from the standard sjtack choil, it just looks bigger with it's square and shallow format.

the handle and blade combo.... it just looks plain weird. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but for right now it's completely novel to my brain.

I couldnt resist and ordered one...great deal. Im getting the LE as well once its available. After getting the SOD Im hooked on Scrapys...and Busse for that matter.
