New Scrim

Nice looking "scratching" George. What can be seen of the knives looks great too.

Thanks Doc, the handle material is white corian. I prefer to scrim on corian because it is non directional and the dots end up being dots instead of elongated like I get on horn, this allows me to get finer detail on small scrims like the cape buffalo.

My next two scrims are going to be on black waterbuffalo horn, a little more difficult because you have to think in reverse and build hi-lites instead of shadows.

I don't do as much scrim as I would like because it requires total concentration and no distractions, don't get much time like that anymore always seems to be something more important that needs doing.

If your son needs any help getting started have him give me a call.
