New SEAL Pup

I got a new SEAL Pup that was on sale for my wife. I figured the smaller handle would fit her hand better than my Elite. Surprise! The Pup now has the same handle as the Elite. The blade is thinner, too. The ricasso is smaller (more edge). In fact, the new Pup is basically a SEAL Pup Elite with thinner stock and no jimping in the spine. Both knives are now AUS-8 steel, so I suppose I should consider the changes an upgrade. No problem. She likes it just fine. It just wasn't what the picture showed when I ordered it.

I like the "upgrades" on the new pup. I wish they would offer the regular pup in a straight edge version. I am not a fan of the spine rasps but I do love that satin finish. Otherwise a great little fixed blade!
