Hi ya'll,

As the title says, I'm about to become the proud owner of a Small Classic Wood inlay Sebenza. Should be in by the end of the week.
However I have a problem, I can see myself become addicted to Sebbies just like most of you are, I have been reading the entire forum, I'm browsing the net for pictures etc. etc.

I have allready decided that I want a Large wood inlay Sebenza next, I really like the looks of the Regular scales with wood, however I like the Classic bladedesign better than the Regular. Would it be possible to get a Large wood inlay Sebbie with Regular scales and Classic blade?

Greets from Holland,

Wally

I'm no expert but I think if you get a Regular Blade and ask for the swedge option, you'll have a blade very similiar to the Classic.

Hi Wally,

Congratulations on your latest purchase! :)

Unfortunately, I believe that CRK has stated in the past that they cannot place regular-style blades onto classic handles, or vice versa.

I'm no expert either, but perhaps what jsun has suggested is worth a look. Does anyone have a picture of a large regular with a swedge?

Wally,
I'm from Holland too.
Just out of interest, did you buy yours in a shop in Holland, or did you order it on the net?

Enjoy your Sebenza. You'll never want another knife, only more Sebenza's...

Hoi Ted,

I got mine on the net, prices in Holland are almost twice as high as in the US. I know Sebenza are good quality but 500$ for a small regular sebbie is a tad much.
However if you want to have a look at some Sebenza's, you should go to "The Old Man" on the Dam street in Amsterdam, they have few in stock.

Well it arrived this Friday, and I really like it.

The other knives I compare it with are Cold Steel, Spyderco(Lum Tanto) & Microtech (Vector).

But the small sebbie is now definitely my EDC, it's all been said before but fit & finish are amazing. It passed my tomato slicing test with honors.

Even my grilfriend likes it, she commented that it's the perfect size for her hands. No this makes me wonder, should I run with that and use it as an excuse to get a Large wood Sebbie? or..... :D

Later, Wally

ps : Hi Arch

You have an excuse to get another Sebbie, one that you can get past your girlfriend and YOUR HESITATING! MOVE IT MISTER!:p
Get your order in now (if you can.)! If you've read this forum for a while you'll know that one of the greatest obstacles most of the collectors here face are their wives and girlfriends. So I'm only half joking, you probably do want to take advantage....

my girlfriend digs my sebenza too... sometimes she'll take it out of my pocket/hand and gently rub it on her cheek... she's being silly, but I think she likes it a little! She does not think so much of the mnandi so far... It seems that every time I only carry the mnandi, I'll automatically need to cut open a bundle of 2x4s or something... so I've been carrying my sidekick with it's sidekick...
