Im somewhat new to the HE Knife world (i own 2 benchmades, 940sbk and a Griptillian, and a CRKT) but after reading up on CRK i decided to get a small sebe classic as an EDC off eBay, I should have it sometime this week. I couldnt find it in the fourm but i do have a question. Im used to this on my benchmades where the clip can be switched over to the left side and carried in the left pocket without the blade popping open in the pocket (it happened on my 940 and pricked my finger, i dont have the allans small enough to switch the clip) but can the sebe be converted to a left hand knife at all? let me know, thx.

The clip on the Sebby will not go on both sides like the axis Knife. CRK does however make a dedicated left hand version in all its folder models. As a southpaw I really appreciate that. If you are a lefty I say go for it!;)

Hi Rabbivj

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your first Chris Reeve knife...as many here will tell you, it probably wont be your last;)

As to your question...No, the pocket clip on the Sebenza cannot be reversed to the opposite side. CRK makes specific left and right hand Sebenzas w/ left and right hand pocket clips. You will also notice on your new Sebenza that the spot for the pocket clip is actually milled into the Ti handle scale allowing the attachment point on the pocket clip to be totally flush with the scale...another

I've never had a Sebenza blade open up on me in my pocket, the ball detent is pretty secure. As for having the right tools...not to worry, your new Sebenza will come with the allen wrench allowing you to strip the knife down for cleaning and maintence or to remove the pocketclip all together:) . Another great aspect about CRK's:D

EDIT: Scott Dog beat me to it:p

The Sebenza is the only knife I will ever EDC tip up... My dealer was the first CRK dealer in America. He was selling them here when Mr. Reeve was still in South Africa so they go a ways back. He has never heard of a Sebenza opening up in the pocket. I do not either. Everything else compared to the Sebenza is simply inferior and you will learn this very quickly. As said, the ball detent is very strong and this is not a knife that will open up in the pocket. There is one tool needed to fully field strip this knife, and it is included with the knife. You indeed pay a price for the engineering, but everyone who owns them understands why the price of such master craftsmanship is so high.

yeah when i have some more cash i may order the LH version from CRK as well. Ty for the help...:-)
