I just got a new-to-me Small Regular Sebenza in S30V today. I got it off another forum and really like it so far. When I got it I disassembled it and cleaned out a bunch of grim and dirt but after that, and the addition of some silicone oil, it was incredibly smooth. Unfortunately, the lock bar really sticks when I go to close the knife. As you can see from the picture, it's definitely been used. I'm thinking of sending it in for the spa treatment and double studs.
After reading CRK's website I was still wondering does this include re-beadblasting the slabs, re-anodizing the thumb stud, and re-tumbling the blade? Or are these extra costs?
Would sending it in for the spa treatment likely address the sticky lock bar?
Finally, does adding dual thumb studs significantly slow down turnaround time?
Anyway, here are a few obligatory pictures. I'll take some better ones when it's daylight.
Disassembled for Cleaning
It's my first Small and I can see why they're so popular. Definitely more EDC friendly than the Large but I think I may still prefer the Large. That said, I definitely plan on keeping and using it.
