Hello Everyone,

I ordered my first "large" Sebenza and it should be here later on today, ...or possibly tomorrow? It's a Classic Micarta Inlay with serrations! I can hardly wait. :) Once it gets here I'll be sure to post some photos.

I can safely say this knife has exceeded all of my expectations. Simply incredible. The micarta grip really adds a lot to the way it fits in your hand, and the blade pivot is remarkably smooth. I like this much better than my small Classic. Heck, this may be my new everyday carry knife!

Most awesome WJL,

I just recently purchased a serrated large reg that I'm really finding useful.
Use her with shear aggressivness!
:D

Thanks!!!!!

And personally, I really like serrations. I find re-sharpening them is fairly simple and they provide an edge with more bite. Either way, this knife is unreal! A real marvel of craftsmanship.

Congrats!! I LOVE CR serrations; as they are on both sides of the blade. Most serrations are one sided.

The beauty of the Chris Reeve Zulu serrations is that they are easily sharpened by just honing the edge like you would do to a plain edged Seb.
 ;)

Question:
Do any of you have both a large plain Classic Sebenza and a Micarta Inlay? If so, which is easier to handle and use? Do you prefer the micarta or plain titanium grip?

I may pick up a large Classic w/serrations as a spare (no micarta).

I have both. IMHO, the micarta sebenza is the best sebenza treatment ergonomically. (I carry a decorated sebenza because for my tastes, the increase in aesthetics outweighs the slight decrease in ergonomics.)

I don't have a plain Sebenza, but I can say without a doubt that the large Micarta is the most comfortable folder I have ever held. It fits perfectly in my hand in every grip I can think of.

I feel any Sebenza large or small, LE or Classic with inlays will feel better. It fills the hand, just more comfortable.

Congrats! Looks very nice and the serrations will come in handy starting a cut for sure.

I have two Micarta's visiting me this week, a small and it's larger brother a large classic,
both very nice and agree that the micarta inlays just seem a bit more rugged.
