Hey all!!

Well today was agreat day, woke up to find a fresh ( born Aug 26th ) Large Micarta Insingo waiting for me.Gotta say i love this knife, the blade shape is absolutely perfect for all tasks, nice wharncliffe with alot of belly. And ya gotta love that swedge!!
I opted for double silver lugs as well.

...oh and this is my first Idaho Made CRK, and I gotta say its not an issue at all, honestly its hardly noticable.Blends quite nicely :)

Chris and crew are at the top of their game.

Nice!
What do you like about the insingo blade shape vs. the standard sebenza?
Why would one choose this shape vs the standard...?

I used to hate the way they look, now I am really taking a liking to them. Where do you guys find them?

Awesome, I have a plain one I have been enjoying. Looks better with the micarta I think.

Very cool knife! Maybe you have the new s35 blade? I have a large plain insingo and the tumbling looks about the same as on the the regular Sebenzas. I think I read that the s35 will take a finer polish?

Thanks for the post TLU! I really think this is a beautiful knife. So much so that I just bought one! As soon as I saw your post I called the knifeart folks who told me that they had no idea when they would get more of them in stock. Amazingly I just happened to pull up their site a couple of weeks ago and they had one in stock. I think I broke my personal record for speed typing placing the order. I really like this one a lot. I think it is my new favorite CR. If I get time I will post some pics of it along with some of my other CR knives.

A couple of thing I have noted. The pins have a slightly different finish on the lock side. I really like the subtle change which is just another example how Chris Reeve continues to make improvements to his products (even to the slightest details). I must also say that this 'Insingo' blade design is really growing on me. When I first saw it I did not like it at all. I have done a complete 180 in this regard now as I really like it a lot. Used the knife just last night preparing my recycles and noticed just how easy it pierces and cuts cardboard. Must be the wedged tip (or just my imagination since my Umnumzaan also has a wedged tip and does not seem to impress me in the same way).

Either way, this is just a fantastic knife. Beautiful, great ergos, and just a great performer. Wow! Well done Mr Reeve and thanks ThievesLikeUs for bringing this one to my attention!
