New Sebenza owner !

Well I finally decided to see what all the hype was about and purchased a large Sebenza , unique graphic , S30V blade. I do use my knives so I purchased it used, sadly with a few battle wounds and no paperwork. I figure if it is too rough I'll send it to the "spa" for some treatment. It arrives sometime this week , so I'll have a better idea of the shape then.

Look at it this way, it's already broken in.

Unless you want all the wear and tear to be yours, then it'll need a spa treatment so you can start fresh with your own character marks.

Thanks for the replies, I do have a question though. Keep in mind I don't know a lot about these knives, yet. It was advertised as S30V , you guys can all tell it's BG42.. how ? Also since it's BG42 that means it was born in at least 2001 right ?

The only way to be sure since it is lacking a card is to take the blade out and look for a stamped S (S30V) on the blade, if you do not have the S it is BG42.

Sent you an email. Unless someone's changed the blade, which appears unlikely due to the apparent wear on the thumbstud and blade profile, I'm 99% sure this is a BG42 Seb. The clip design design dates it between 1997-1999. If you do what ATONY said, it will verify the blade steel issue.
