the female part of the screws on the sebenza used to have a swooth head has there changet sth ? because ive seen on quite a few sebenzas that there were male srews on both sites did crk change the sebenza construction ?

that means chris reeve did the screws the same way the military for example has ? how stupid is that ? the old way he did the srews was one of the reasons why i loved the sebenza so much..

The new ones are superior in function because the female part of the old style screws would keep spinning when you would try to tighten them when they would get old, the new screws you can hold down with an allen wrench. Also the new screws are now made in shop.

I like the new type. I was never one to switch the old screws around to have the smooth side on the front. The sebenza is all about function and the new screws function better when you take the knife apart.

New screw fan here. I'm hoping for a knife with new everything; new (Insingo) blade shape, new steel, new stamp (IM), new scews, new lanyard pin, new box, new polishing cloth, new washers!

that means there still is a female screw ? i thought 2 male screws would go into the spacer

There is still a female screw yes. Only addition is the new slot for the female part to stop the spinning happening when the knife gets older. There is a few threads on the matter, search will probably pop most of them up for further reading.

I also like the new screws. Not just beacuse of the function but looks too.
Keeps it more uniform IMO

I too prefer the new screws. The dome ones look to much like old hub caps.

I like the new ones and have reversed them so the female one is on the front, i think they are better for dismantling, i unscrew mine using the allen key in the deep screw, less chance of chewing the screw up, you dont really need 2 keys just holding one with finger or piece of rubber is fine.
