My friend just bought a Small Sebenza Reverse Silver Contrast w/ B&W Damascus Reptillian. I cannot find anything about it online and the person he bought it from at a Knife show we went to over the weekend said they only made 1 small and 1 large just wondeirng if anyone knows and this is true. It is a beatiful knife though. He is going to try a get a close up of the blade.

First off, an absolutely beautiful knife.

These are available by order directly with CRK and also through dealers. So it is not a limited (only the 2 made) edition. You can order one like it, but the handle design will only be similar and not exactly the same.

The steel is Hi carbon/nickel B & W Damascus and is truly beautiful. These blades etch better than Stainless and will show the pattern really well. However, it does need a bit more care than a Stainless Steel Damascus blade.

Tell your friend to be sure to wipe it clean after every use and even if it has only been fondled.

A bit of grease (a very light coat) rubbed into the blade will be a good idea as well.

The company has started coating the blades with a clear version of KG Gun Coat to further protect the material.

But, I cannot be sure that this one has that coating.

Just ask the Chris Reeve shop, by giving them the DOB on the card, and they may be able to tell you.

All around- a stunning knife.

wow:eek: nice knife. If it were mine i couldnt even imagin what i would cut with that, maybe a marshmellow or something. Id :barf: if i ever scratched it.
 
NICE knife ! I've got several (3) Damascus blade Sebenza's. 2 of them are Stainless Damascus, and one is a B&W Raindrop pattern. I used to use the RIG (rust inhibiting grease) supplied by CRK to keep it rust free but recently sent it in to them for a "clear coat" finish on the blade. It is awesome looking now and the coating is as durable as the surface of the knife. It was only $50 and cheap insurance to protect your beautiful investment.
