Knifecenter is taking pre-orders on 2 new Selkirk folders: a large with a 3.9" blade and a small with a 3.25" blade.

There's a lot to like in terms of how they look. That they're made in China isn't one of them. I guess I have to accept that the rhetoric from a few years ago about plans to bring more models back to the US have gone by the boards. I wish it wasn't so.

I'd love to handle one of these. There's still something generic and non-Buckish about them but perhaps they look better in person.

Does anybody know what kind of lock this uses? It looks like a liner lock but I'm not sure.

Any idea of when Buck might be shipping them?

Looks like a liner lock to me also.

The sheath is the most interesting thing about this for me.

Looks like a liner fail, er, liner lock to me (the most unreliable kind).

I completely agree with Pinnah, and the smaller version looks like a knife I would carry a bunch. Hopefully a US version could be available one day, I know I would have already gotten the Selkirk fixed blade if it was from the US factory.
