Hi. This is a great forum and everyone seems knowledgeable and freindly. I bought a S2K last week from Knifeworks and it finally arrived. The knie is awesome and I bought it based on all the rave reviews here. I have one nit picky problem though and want to see if any other S2K owners experienced this: my knife has the black coated blade, but the coaiting appears to be kinda grayish in bright light with some faint, scratchy lines on it in places and almost looks worn on some of the edges. The blade is very sharp and the edge doesn't appear to have been used. The rest of the knife looks brand new with excellent fit and finish. I plan on using the knife and don't care if the black coating gets scrathed in the long run, however this seems out of character after hearing bout the great fit and finish of these knives. I also purchased the knife new and have concerns that it was used (it's the principal and all). I also bought a new BM 710HS that I will be returning (unless I can convince the wife to let me keep it). The coating on the 710's blade LOOKS brand new and has none of these problems. Other than this the S2K is awesome; locks up solid and feels incredible in my hand. Should I exchange the knife or is this just differences in coatins/ companies, etc.? Again, it's nit-picky and I could easily live with it, but it's the principal. OBTW, the knife was made in MOKI.
