Ya know how it is with Busse and Kin. Ya cant have just one. To date, I have a RatManDu, ASH1 and a Special Forces Natural Outlaw. All in Battle Grade or SR101- however ya wanna say it.
Until just a few days ago the ASH1 was top dog. Man what a blade! I loved the design from the first time I saw it. And she has been even more fun to use. Ive liked the ASH1, so much that I haven't even used the RMD!
But then somethin happened. I had a good look at the SFNO BG. And being new to Busse realized that not only is it a good half inch longer its still the same blade width.
And I loved the looks of it! Eventually one popped up on the forum and I got it. And man oh man does this knife feel good in the hand......and a real brute at that.
Im thinkin Im really gonna like givin her a go, especially so after knowing how devastating the ASH1 was!
I tell ya, these knives from Busse - I never would've guessed just how much fun and how powerful they are.
Also very impressed with the amount they can be worked and still maintain a working edge.
At any rate, Im just excited about my new Busse blades and wanted to share. Thanx all....
 
Looks great bruddah :thumbup: I love the original black canvas on black crinkle!
 
The BOSSJACK and SFNO were the ones wrestling for a spot as my first BUSSE. I broke down and bought both. SFNO is sweet. Enjoy.

Thanx man......That Black Crinkle and Black Canvas really are hard to beat.

Great looking pair MacLaren!!

Any chance you could give an approx weight on those two? I skipped those, but bit on the Hell Razor which just came in last week. I'm curious how much of a difference the fuller and slightly thinner stock (.22" vs. .25") makes vs. the other two. The HR is just a little shy of 17oz btw.

Also, Asheville rocks!! I lived there for a while about 15 yrs ago.
 
I can't tell you the approx. weight of either, even though I have both. I haven't measured either of them. BUT, if the HR is 17 oz, I'd put a guess that the BGSFNO is pushing 24 to 25 oz. It seems that much heavier to me. It could be that it just has a lot more weight out front. The blade is wider, thicker, and longer. Compared to the HR, the BGSFNO feels like a hatchet in my hand. The HR is nicely balanced; the BGSFNO feels very blade heavy. When I get back home, I can put both on a scale, but that is going to be a few days. Hopefully someone else that has both can post on here before that.

We actually just moved out of Asheville last year. I miss it too. Although we did move back home.
At any rate, I have some postal scales that I need to dig out and Ill give you a precise weight.
Rockspyder is correct, she's a brute. Although, she does feel a bit blade heavy, to me shes also well balanced.
This SFNO BG, would do some serious damage imo lol.
I absolutely 💘 so far.....
Of course, Ive always wanted a Hell Razor too!
 
An ASH 1 Battle Grade in that exact combo was my gateway Busse.... Four months later I'm waiting on my fourth piece of INFI to arrive, and now spend my days on here and refreshing the exchange. Even at stop lights and such. If this is wrong, I don't want to be right.

Nice blades!

Thx (Rockspyder too ;),) hope it's not too much trouble. I nerd out a bit trying to compare specs on stuff before I decide what I want to pull the trigger on. Stoked about the HR, but I keep reading all the praise on the SFNO and ASH... You know how it goes :D

Congats on the FFBM too. An FBM in some flavor has been high on my list for a while, but I'm trying to cool on it for now, at least until I get my Double Talon and BOOM Parang in hand. Right now I have a pair of big Dogs (1111, 1311) covering my large chopper needs :thumbup:

Ill have that weight for ya. May be as late as tomorrow, but I will do it. I think my scales are in storage.
I need to get them out anyways.
Ive had em for a while to weigh chainsaws and pistls lol...
I know exactly how ya feel about weights and measurements ;)
