Need to know how to stop buying knives LOL. I'm am a knife junkie. Just bought 2 nice mint Randall's. I want use these big dogs, any tips on caring fo the steel in tropics ? I live on a deserted barrier island beach and everything rusts, rots, corrodes.

clean, oil, repeat. try some high end super stainless. a lot less work. just remember stain less not stain free. sell me the randalls.

Keep them clean and dry and oil them lightly every now and then and you'll be just fine.

As to how to stop buying knives...? I'm afraid you're asking the wrong folks about that one...it's a disease...and it looks like you've got it. Either embrace it, or turn around and run...fast!!
