New sharpener idea...

Now I must admit, I have never seen these two sharpeners, but I wonder if combining the scarb and the edge pro would make an even better sharpener. Edgepro seems more versatile to me- it looks like you could get the whole blade better. But, I like how you can use any stone that fits with the skarb! Out 'em together and wadda ya got? Not bippity boppity boo, but perhaps an even better sharpener! Perhaps it could be called the bippity boppity boo! What do you think of my idea, especially you edge pro and skarb owners?

Wouldn't make it better, not for the Apex anyway. While having to use the 1x6 stones exclusively can be a bit limiting, it's the narrow stones that allow you to do re-curves and the like. If the stones were bigger you wouldn't be able to get the inside curve.

Well, I've used it VERY succesfully to sharpen my BM 710 and 750 (both have pretty deep re-curves especially the 750) as well as my khukri and one of these days I'm going to get around to doing my Commander. You really wouldn't think it would do re-curves but it does and it does VERY well. Hope this helps.
