Good Day,

Any idea what the part is, sandwiched between the Tek Lok and the sheath?

It looks like a swivle point that would give you 360 degrees of rotation. Looks like a very good idea:D

doesn't that thingy allow it to be rotated to any angle? (makes for a thick sheath though)

Looks to me like it's just an adapter, since the blade of the knife appears to be too wide for the TEK Lok. Without the middle piece, wouldn't the mounting screws come very close to the blade?

It's a swivel. It actually allows for 180 degrees of movement.

Or if you switch it to the other side, 180 degrees in the other direction.

Codeman, you only attach the tek-lok on one side of the sheath, so the width of the blade doesn't matter.

UGH! Like a Tek-Lok isn't bulky enough to begin with!!!
Nice idea, poor execution, in my humble opinion.
Why not just make one new standalone gizmo instead of making a new gizmo that has to attach to a Tek-Lok? KISS! A one piece design could greatly cut down on thickness.
