New sheath design for TOPS Firestrike?

Hey all,

I just got a new TOPS Firestrike FS46. I was expecting a Kydex sheath based on everything I had read online about the Firestrike, but received a ballistic nylon sheath with a polymer insert (to keep the blade from slicing thru the nylon) and a fastex-buckled exterior accessory pocket. Has anyone else received this type of sheath with their TOPS fixed blades?

Yes, TOPS is using this more and more for many of their fixed blades, so that the sheaths are jump-qualified, per mil-spec and safety rules.
