New sheath for my 9

Hello gang,
Just started leatherworking and made this for my BK-9, i think it came out real nice. If i knew this, i woulda used a nicer piece of leather,lol.

what ya guys think? I shoot SASS so the old west type leathers suit me more than kydex stuff. sorry for the links, we got a new comp and its a whole lot harder posting pics, i will keep trying.

Brother, that sheath looks perfect for SASS shooting. Add in the wooden handles and old world patina, you got a great setup for your SASS getup.

You should put a pic of your SASS getup, I get a kick out of those.

I shot IDPA for a while, and like it. Got an invite to attend a SASS shoot with a buddy of mine. Damn, it was funny. The getups were awesome, but the shooting was kinda funny. One, not so much smoke rollin' out of the barrel as one would have thought necessary. Two, the "Shoot From Horseback" was a grin fest for hours. Folks sittin' on a wooden horse. Funny stuff.

I overheard some guys talking about putting corn cob media (polishing media) in their shells. Went home and looked it up, it would seem that alot of folks really downsize their powder charge for some SASS shoots. I laffed my ass off at that.

Oh, and I'm not downing SASS, its a great sport and fun as hell, for both participants and spectators, but that downloaded powder charge got me gigglin'.

Here is a pic of me from last years regionals, NOT what i would call "downloaded"-i shoot a class called Palerider Gunfighter-gun in each hand, max loaded black powder cartridges, basically fill the daggone case and smash a large bullet on it....

and we make fun of the guys who download, we also make fun of those who dont shoot real black powder..and those who shoot with 2 hands on the gun(squawgrip)..lol. Its all in good fun as these are some of the best people you will ever meet. My BK9 will fit in perfect.
