Hello All,
I recently purchased a Farm Knife from the Sept 9th DOD. When it arrived I was so impressed with it, this thing is just sweet, I love the blade shape, just a perfect knife. I took care of the wood shrinkage right away and decided to make a leather sheath for it. I have been making this style sheath for a while now and love it for these big blades. The farm knife fits like a glove and I think it came out pretty good. Hope you like it and thank you for looking.

Another great sheath there Pugs !!. Your system using the shackle is very practical. Love the leatherwork too.

Very nice work. Are you self taught?

How do you estimate the length of the sheath left unstitched on the top?

Thank you, and yes I am self taught and always learning, im still making some mistakes. When it comes to the unstitched parts, I usually look at the blade shape or angle so to speak and go from there.

That looks great! I'm very interested in learning to do that myself, where do you buy your sheath making supplies?

i wonder if i could find the time to learn to do that -- what a great sheath -- nice work sir

Eric
