Finally finished my sheath for my gelbu special.

Made from stacked leather, dyed black and inscribed with some of the blade markings, everything done by hand. made in the new traditon of the fast draw style, but arranged for left hand carry draw [as I keep a firearm on my right]. There are some very specific little changes to add a little something extra to the sheath. There is a notch cut into the back of the sheath for the edge protrsion to lock into, thereby eliominating up and down movement whenever the wrap around snap is closed [see pic 2]. The snap is now oriented backwards so the drawing motion also disconnects it. we also cut in a chamfer to the lower draw out edge to keep things from getting caught up inside [see pic 3].

I hope I didn't butcher the Nepali too bad.

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts, and thanks for looking!

I like it. I've made a sheath from wood but found I have little to zero talent with leather. I much prefer leather.
I'd like to come up with a shoulder rig, to hold a blade under my left arm. I too carry a firearm on my right. Trying to come up with a way to draw it without it having a pivot or hanging handle forward is challenging.

I just read your post again, I was confused. It's left hand, draw with left hand not cross draw with right hand. Looks like it should work good. Pistol in right, Kuhk in left, like a Gurka.
