For my Toferner "Celtic Pocket Knife"
After near three years of consecutive carry every day 24-7-365.25 (usually hanging from neck on leather cord) the original sheath has gotten a bit ... soft, letting the blade fall out when I am sleeping.
The original sheath, less neck cord:

I am losing the runes, ☹️ but gaining peace of "mind" that the knife will not fall out while I am sleeping,
I've changed the design a little.
Added a flap and a belt loop. (new sheath is WIP in these two photos. I am waiting for the glue to dry so I can punch the holes to sew or lace the front to back.
I haven't decided yet if I will saddle stitch or use the lacing we did on the wallets we made in leather shop, during the 19 and 69/19 and 70 school year.
I need to see if You Tube has a refresher on how to do that laceing..

rear. (I tried gluing a couple (air quotes) "strong" magnets on the back to help secure the blade. I removed them for the photo.

IF I decide to use the neck cord again, I have the have location for the holes marked on the new sheath with black SHARPIE.

I believe I will make a decision on saddle stitching or lacing later tonight, then finish it up Saturday. Getting too late to be hammering in my room tonight.
I might wake up or disturb one of the other residents, or tick off the staffette that's on duty.

I'll update with a finished shot tomorrow, if anyone wants to see how bad I done did.
I sure ain't no competition for y'all ...

EDIT:
Saddle stitch it is. I needed to make it a wee bit wider (about 3/16 to 1/4 inch each side) for the lacing I wanted to use, so the blade'll fit.
Oh well. Maybe I'll make another "someyear", rough side out, and use the lacing then.
