Hey All,
Been working on a few sheaths. Finished these two up and wanted to post a few pictures of them. I made sheaths for these before when I started working in leather, but as im getting a bit better I wanted to make nicer ones for them. I have been working on my lines and texture and did a little on these. I used a D-ring on these between the sheath and the belt loop to give some movement. The tamang is colored with fiebings light brown, waterproofed with montana pitch blend leather dressing, it darkens the leather a bit but I like it. The AK is colored with fiebings dark brown and also waterproofed the same way, I did some texture on this one. I really like how they came out. Hope you like them.

Thanks for looking.

I like them indeed pugs. Some really fine looking work there. Keep it up and you may have a cottage industry there. Thanks for sharing with us.

Nice.

I made an open spine for my Busse KZII (Khuk-ish knife). It was a lot of work.

Very clean work! I like it alot, and that Tamang is an awesome blade shape, I have got to get me one of those!

pugs, what is the overall and blade length on your tamang? Do you have a spine shot? It doesnt look as thick stocked as many HI khukris from these pics

The overall length is just under 16 inches, and the blade is 10 1/2 inches. If i measured right the spine is approx 3/8th's at the thickest tapering to about 3/16th's just before the tip. The blade definitely is thinner than other HI's. I really like this blade it has worked well for me. Hope this helps.
