New sheaths on the way

After getting my outstanding bk16 sheath from 710 customs I planned on outfitting the 2 and 9 in one eventually as well. Well since he's running a limited special on em today I figured there's no better time, bk2 and 9 sheath inbound and with 40% off what an amazing deal for such awesome sheaths.

Pics will follow upon arrival lol.... But yea it was an excellent deal. He posted on his fb a coupon code for cyber Monday 40% off orders over $100 but the code was only good for the first 8 buyers. Surprisingly the last one was just used earlier today.

When I got my 16 sheath my total with shipping was around $65, I got the same set up minus fire steel holders for my 2 and 9 for $74 shipped, an amazing deal. I wish I'd had the extra coin I would've went ahead and ordered sheaths for my future Beckers as well, and a few other knives like my tops bob.

Damn Julio got these done asap, I just ordered Monday and they delivered today.

I've been using the factory bk22 condura sheath that I got with my with first 2 since the older glass reinforced nylon sheath always took a toll on the edge. The 710 kydex sheath was just what this thing needed and deserves. The 9 also carries so much better now that it's wrapped in kydex too. I wish I would've thought about before rushing to get my order in before the codes were gone thou, I should've ordered my 9 in either kryptek or multi cam, and should've gotten the ferro rod holders...o well it still looks sexy in black, and I have a spare ferro holder I took off my tops BOB, just need screws. Can't recommend 710 customs enough.

No kidding was basically bogo, paid $10 more for both than my 16 alone. His sheaths make carrying your knives so much easier and more comfortable. Out of every kydex maker I've used his trump all in every way. When I get my 14, it's definitely getting one, then I'm Gonna get my benchmade 162, and tops bob outfitted next.
 
J.D. makes some awesome stuff. His work was on display at the Ka-Bar booth this past Blade show.

Yea from my experience with kydex makers he's one of the best if not the best. I've bought several that just lacked attention to detail, eyelets not seated properly, seams not sanded smooth, kydex actually pressed to the blade so not only is it scratching the finish but requires a lot of effort to draw it. The list could go on, and I almost gave up on kydex bc I was tired of wasting money.

However I now have 3 from 710 and each one is prefect, not a detail missed and retention is prefect. Strong enough to securely hold the knife while still being able to draw with ease. So far I've gone with just basic designs, but next year I'm going to try out his more custom designs with leather wraps.
