New Shop

We chose to build a new shop for several reasons.

First, the shop is closer to Father and much easier for him to help the new manager supervise.

Second, it provides better and safer working conditions for the workers and more of an incentive to use their creative ideas in the crafting of our knives.

We hope you will be happy with the results.

I'm glad to see the kamis getting a nice new shop to work in. It's just another way that HI is improving their living conditions. :thumbup:

OTOH, don't make it too cushy for them at work, or they'll turn into lazy, whiny American workers. Before you know it, they'll unionize and demand three-hour lunch breaks.

At this point, they'd be asking for $.15 a day and all the rice they can eat *with* gravy.

I think a 3 hour lunch would only allow them to start a second career...they are not like us.
