Hi everyone,

I just finished this short sword. It has a 16.75" forged 1075 blade and a 9.5" wrapped walnut core handle. I wanted to give it a Japanese/fantasy/end of days look, thus the hapoon tip blade and Japanese guard, seppa and modified wrap. I think I succeeded, but am very interested in what you folks think, all comments are welcome.

Although swords are not my thing I can appreciate the fine work that went into this piece. Thanks

That would look great in a movie, very post-apocalyptic & nice attention to detail/aesthetics. From a practical point of view I'm not sure what uise it is optimised for?

Thanks Fishface5. You'd use it like any other sword, all swords are optimized to cut through flesh and bone. That's their purpose, but lacking anyone or anything to cut, I just lash it to my ATV when I go camping and find it's very handy. And, of course, when those darn zombies come you'd be ready.:)
