This hawk is a bit smaller than my average tomahawks and very light, a variation of the "Shorty 'Hawk" on my site. This hawk has a head forged from 5160 high carbon steel with a satin finish. The head is 8 7/8" from end-to-end with a 1 1/2" cutting edge. The 16 1/2" shaft is top grade Curly Maple with stabilized Buffalo horn caps & antiqued brass tacks. The fully tooled "head" sheath has a retention strap with post by Paul Long.
