New Siegle Battle/Camp Cleaver enroute

Last November I sent Bill Siegle a few photos of what I wanted him to make me

Which was a Camp Cleaver I could use for Camping/Survival as well as Martial Art Drills too

He sent me back a drawing of what the cleaver would look like

I told him to go ahead and make it--

He sent me a photo of 3 of them yesterday--It was worth the wait.

Mine is far right--

OTHER 2 HAVE BEEN SOLD BY MR.SIEGLE

Specs are 10" Blade(If I recall)

5160 Blade Steel

1/4" thick

wow.. those are awesome. Love Siegle knives. I hope to own one someday. thanks for sharing

damnit I missed out on this.
will contact Siegle

Siegle Cleaver arrived today

Massive but easy to control(For it's size)

Very comfortable handle

It's a cross between a Chopper and a Thick Machete--but more on the chopper side

1/4" 5160 this long and wide will never be light--but this one does move faster than I expected it to

Did some Box cutting and a few milk jugs--to test accuracy and handle comfort

Have company over so could not do a full test tonight

Will do some Woods testing with it tomorrow--and post photos on this thread

Here is is next to a Becker Campanion will Bill Siegle G-10 Grips so you get an idea of size

Very awesome. If you ever get hooked on METH and wanna get $50 for it I here for you Bro

Took the Siegle Battle Cleaver out today for it's first woods test

Remember I had Mr.Siegle make this as BOTH a Camp Chopper and a Martial Arts Blade(to test on water bottles-large boxes-etc)

Tested it today for about 20 minutes

We have company over and could not spend more time away

I checked for several things that are important to me

-Handle Comfort(any hot spots-or painful areas)
-Handle Retention(does the handle rotate or move when cutting-while striking or missing)
-Cutting Ability(Does it cut better-worse or the same compared to other knives of the same size)
-Accuracy--is is easy to put the cut where I want to and can I maintain that
(most of the time I can place 5 cuts into 1/4" space or less-will send video if you need to see what I mean)

It is heavy but easy to control

I started off chopping finger size branches and got thicker ones as time allowed

It works well on both smaller and larger pieces of wood and is much faster in hand than it looks like it would be.

Most of the weight is not in the front as in a dedicated chopper feels-which is what I wanted

This feels more like a short sword in flight-as it's easy to throw another cut or chop or to switch direction and cut another area

It is the MOST Accurate Big Siegle I have ever tested(and I have tested well over 80 I'll wager)

Handle is secure but comfortable. No hot spots.
Great retention-both when hitting hard objects(mesquite trees) and smaller branches and Milk Jugs

This was the first time I used it and towards the end of the testing I was getting better at snap cutting with it as well as regular chopping.

When I got it home it would still shave hair after at least 300 chops on mostly Mesquite trees

The Bad--The Cleaver might be a Tad too large and I might trade it for another Smaller Siegle+Cash.

PM me if you have one you want to trade for

Where I went

I brought Zeus and his daughter Heide
